Medical Coverage

To give you peace of mind that you will have health insurance when you need it, FREESTAR Bank provides medical coverage through Guardian/Destiny Health. Employees are responsible for a portion of the premium, which is deducted on a pre-tax basis.

Dental Coverage

Good dental health is important, and that's why FREESTAR Bank Provides comprehensive dental coverage through Delta Dental for services ranging from x-rays and routine cleanings to fillings and orthodontic care. FREESTAR Bank shares the cost of dental coverage premiums.

Health Care and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts

FREESTAR Bank offers reimbursement accounts which will allow you to put pre-tax money aside to reimburse yourself for eligible medical, dental, vision care and dependent care expenses.

Life and AD&D

FREESTAR Bank provides basic group term life at two times your annual salary (up to $200,000) at no cost to you. Basic life includes an equal amount of accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) coverage that pays a benefit if you suffer a covered loss or die as a result of an accident. FREESTAR Bank also offers you the opportunity to purchase additional life insurance for you and dependent coverage for your family.

Disability Coverage

If you are unable to work because of an injury, illness or disability, FREESTAR Bank provides short-term benefits at no cost to you. Optional long-term disability insurance is available at inexpensive rates.

Holidays

FREESTAR Bank observes 10 holidays in accordance with the Federal Reserve System.

Vacation

Full-time employees earn vacation time based on their length of service and position.

Absences

Full-time employees are provided with five personal days per calendar year.

401(k) Plan

The 401(k) plan gives you a great opportunity to save and invest for the future. You can contribute a percentage of salary each pay period, after your one year service anniversary. Contributions are deducted from your pay each pay period on a pre-tax basis. You can contribute from 1-80 percent of pre-tax pay, in increments of 1 percent subject to the IRS deferral limit. FREESTAR Bank will match contributions at the rate of 50 percent on the first 6 percent of pay. FREESTAR Bank is committed to your future and works with you to help your 401(k) plan investment grow.

Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)

The bank contributes to an ESOP on an annual basis. The contribution amount is determined each year based on the bank's performance.

A. A listing of our current job openings can be found on our website. Once you have the list of available openings that match your search criteria, send us your information.

A. Once you have submitted your resume it is routed to the appropriate recruiter for review. Q. As a financial institution, does FREESTAR Bank offer its employees discounts on banking services?

A. FREESTAR Bank offers employees service charge-free checking accounts, including personalized checks, automatic payroll deposit, free traveler's checks and reduced interest rates on installment loans and fees on installment and mortgage loans.

A. You are eligible on the first of the month following 30 days of employment. If you do not enroll for coverage as of your hire date, you can pick up coverage at a later date only if you lose alternate coverage during the calendar year, or if you have another qualifying life event, provided you enroll within 31 days from the event or loss. Otherwise, you are eligible to enroll each year in the fall for coverage effective October 1 of that year.
